Leather won't come out after changing power heads

So I changed my power heads out a couple of days ago . Just new ones same brand . Tank has a little bit more flow just because of them being new . Is this normal behavior of my leather to not come out ? It's been about 2 days since he's been out .

leather will often "sulk" for a few days after making changes in the system, or it may just be starting to shed.

Thanks thats what I figured.

Mark9 thanks for clearing that a leather is not an LPS. On another note maybe you could of cleared it up as to what group they belong, after you politely corrected what forum i shoudlnt of put it in. :hammer:

Move it to a low flow area and squirt it with some thing like coral frenzy or other phyto type mixture and good chance it will open in 2 or so days....
Let us know.

Ocean actually that's not correct for a leather, They need very high flow and bright lighting, I would say it's ok to not have extra bright lighting but the flow will be of most importance to that leather.

It just worked on my big toad stool. I would say that the flow is low medium and placement is bottom 1/4 of the tank not shaded.

It was happy before in high flow. So he is a pretty flexible individual.

Also don't forget the circumstances of this thread. This is a softy question
in the LPS section. And we all know the rules here. When someone asks about their under the weather coral in this section. You have to say something about low light, low flow, low placement and or a dip.

I don't make the rules. I just have follow them. LOL. :spin1:

It still wasnt out yesterday. But every once in a while i could see it trying to come out then would go back in . I believe i just made it mad with putting new powerheads in there. Its getting a little more flow but not way more. I may adjust my powerheads tonight if it still wants to be aggravated .

nothing will tick you off like softies and especially leathers. seems like I wait forever to take pics with all the polyps on all the corals out. every little thing makes them sulk.

3dees I like your flame hawk, I'm going to get one as I use to have one years ago and it was my favorite fish.

I have a flame. By far my favorite fish . The first one I had committed suicude . So had to put a wall up on the back of my tank . Well got home today guess and still a no go . That makes 4 days . He was completely fine until I changed that power head . If they do shed how long does that usually take ?

LOL I've seen mine look like that many times. Just put it in a good flow area with moderate light and it will come out of it. Shedding can take up to a few days depending on water flow.

It will be week tomorrow that my leather has not come out . Should I be worried ? It's not falling over or anything . It's really shinny though . If that means anything . It's always been happy . I've never seen it do this in the 2 years I've had it .
