Leathers in with clams

so i have officially taken the idea of housing a large toadstool with any sps corals although im still keeping other softies and lps. I was wondering what kind of negative side effects it would have on clams if any ?

I see no problems. In fact, I have never seen a coral bother a clam, including xenia, GSP, softies, etc..

ahh ok and embedded into the sand is a muc better situation for them then on a rock higher up because of their membrane correct . .

Depends on the clam. Deresa and squamosa like the sand. the maxima and crocea like to burrow into rock.

I have lost a crocea to continual pearl coral sweeper tentacle attacks. It retracted for a while and eventually died.

Aiptasia anemones can also have the same effect if not removed.

I have never have seen any problems with leathers.
