Leaving Aquarium Designs

I was just letting everyone know that I have left Aquarium Designs to follow my dream of opening a large scale Coral Farm. Sunday was my last day. I will still be around but most of my time will be spent on the farm. I would like for the club to still hold the meeting in July at aquarium designs. I will be there to share my new farm.

Congratulations!! I hope you got the greenhouse set up and ready to go. Good luck with your new endeavour!!

So how do I get hold of you or your fabulous frags in the future? Since you are in the wholesale business now, can we still purchase a frag directly from you or do I need to organize a group buy?

Oh man I hate to hear that, but on the other hand I am glad you are able to do what you wanted to do. I was in on friday and noticed that you had sold out most of your softies. I am also curious as to whether you will wholesale only or make sales to some of the folks here on a pick up basis at the farm. If you would rather answer that privately send me an email or an im. So who is going to hold the fort down on the coral at AD? Best of luck to you I will miss seeing you at AD, also please post us pics of the farm as you build it.

As of right now I will just sell wholesale to the trade.

Yes, I had a large wholesaler buy alot of corals from me last friday but there sould be alot left.

As of right now I am not sure how I will handle selling to the club in a group buy or 1 and 2. Right now I would like to start by selling only to the stores. One of the reasons that I am leaving, Aquarium Designs is becasue selling them out of there is upseting my larger wholesale accounts. A. Calfo gave me some advice that I am going to try out. He told me to pick either wholesale or retail and do only one.

Thank you for your response. In either case, I am sure we are happy as long as we have a good local access to your frags. Any chance that we may get a shop up here to carry your frags? Should I urge one of our local shops to contact you?

I am going to give the local shops the first shot at the frags. I will not only sell frags, I want to sell all types of farmed corals. But only farmed.

As for the club meeting in Aquarium Designs, what do you guys think? Actually I was going to ask the membership what kind of things you all wanted Philip to talk about. It's kinda funny to ask him to give us a lecture now that he's left. I suppose we can ask Tien or John to give us a talk on something like fish husbandry (we covered the subject of aquascaping and coral husbandry last two times we were there.)

So what do you guys think? Shall we hold July meeting in AD?

I'm an outsider unlikely to make the meeting, but it would seem that tank husbandry would be a better choice, since I don't believe that AD either quarantines or dips...

Whats all this talk about a greenhouse??? EH?
how big? Im trying to get one built up here to do some at home aquaculture... mainly for myself.
 
Well i went by AD today! And In one week Phillips Tanks in the back went from -WOW- to What the #$%^ happened. When I was there Tein was tring to Fix a BIG PH Problem it had fallen to 7.0 about sometime Friday and they can't get it back up! The Tanks Looked like a WAR had taken place in the zoo frag tank it was just stacks of plugs as far as the EYE could see!

I will miss having phillip around!
