Leaving For Germany

Hi all, I will be gone from April 28th to May 9th. I will be at the Tunze factory in Penzberg Germany. I wanted to give fair warning as I am the only one here and if you need something or have a question I will be out of reach for a good while. I will be able to answer emails and can be reached at the factory- just remember their is a 7hr time difference.

Have a safe trip Roger. Hmm, an American in Germany at this time....better try and blend in. I don't think we are too popular over there about now. Avoid all conversations of a political nature if you can.

I know what you are saying, my uncle is stationed at the army hospital in Landstuhl. He was ordered to grow his hair and not speak English in public. Fortunately Bavaria is a much friendlier part of Germany and I have many friends their. I also don't look American- so they say, you can ask german police and US Customs both have grilled me on nationality a few times. Another ace up my sleeve when someone asks where I am from I say Texas- then we just talk about J.R. Ewing and Walker Texas Ranger- trust me it works anywhere in the world.

Funny, now that you mention it....I had to stop and think about what you look like. I only got to speak with you for about 15 minutes at the last MACNA. As I recall, you could very easily pass for one of the locals there. Maybe it's the glasses.
