Hi--a few questions about this club please...

Is there dues to belong to the club?

Are meetings mandatory? (We only have one car atm-makes getting around pretty hard).

Where are the "usual" meetings held?

Thanks guys

Yep all payable to me :)

No dues.
You can come to any meeting you can make it to.
Meetings are held at the home of members, so they are held in various towns in Central PA.

The club is nice and informal, and I am answering your questions just because I happen to be on-line -- I'm not taking any credit for starting or maintaining the club. :) Basically, the philosophy of the people who did start it is that we should help one another out locally.

If I mis-stated anything, I will now suffer verbal abuse (that gets handed out a lot, too.) :)

Elysia = Correct; 2Turtles = Aspiring Scam Artist :)

NO dues. Meetings are held approx each month at someone's house. No agenda for the meetings, just meet, check out each others' setups, hang out and talk about reef stuff. The host usually (and generously) cooks up some food to munch on.

Meetings are NOT required, that is to say you're not going to get any black marks for not showing up. While attending as much as possible is encouraged as it makes the meets all the more worthwhile, each of us has a life and conflicts come up, so no sweat if you can't make it.

That being said, we're meeting 4pm this afternoon at Matt's house in Lewisberry (near ski roundtop). You will just have to PM him (SN: trippkid) to get directions and ask if he's prepared for another individual this afternoon.

Volcom, if you host a meeting in the future, make sure you have at least one piece of cheese for Elysia. She likes cheese! :D

Thanks guys... nice to know there are other reefers close to my area...I've only had my tank up for 6 months, so unfortunately, I have no frags or anything to offer at the meetings... but sounds like they could be informative for me to attend.

Maybe we need a Lebanon/Berks club. LOL

I'm kind of in the same boat here in Reading, I usually go with the Del Val group since I'm a little closer to them but I check here too
