I found this led calculator. I wish it had something about optics though.
I already knew that I was underpowered but I wish there was something like this when I did mine. This confirms that I need more.

There will never be anything more than a "generic" WAG formula..Just to get you in the ballpark..

This has become the "accepted" WAG formula..

watts = ((L" x W")/X)*3


Where
L = length in inches
W = width in inches
X = 22 for non-sps
X = 18 for SPS
