LED Fish Only Lights

I have an 8 foot 280 gallon salt water tank. It is a fish only tank and I want to get some color changing LED lights for it. I don't think there any available on fish sites I have seen. So can I just use an LED color changing panel one like DJs use?

Cause DJ websites have them
Way cheaper and I think they will work fine and will color change from red blue green. Any help on this thanks?

if you want to spend some big bucks im pretty sure sfigoli makes one that can change a lot of colors but your talking lots o money to light that size tank

Ok. I just don't understand LED lights for fish tanks
Are so expensive when you can by seemingly the same thing fro
A DJ or lighting store for a lot cheaper?
Is there a difference?

yes they are designed for different purposes which brand of dj lights was designed to be near salt creep and large amounts of water?

Well there's plenty of LEd panels that are water resistant and or submersible. They use these for pools or landscaping around houses. So it seems
Like those could handle some water and salt splash. I'm sure Fish LED are expensive cause there new, therefore inflating the price. Whereas in DJ and other application LED have been around for many years.

All LEDs are not made equal. The LEDs aquarisits use are some of the highest power LEDs commercially available. Most are 3W each. What are the DJ panels?

Answers already stated above. But if your fish can dance, and you don't mind the LED being destroyed by salt creep, go for it.

Ya me either. They have alot more options available in the DJ world then in the fish world. So it seems like a perfect fit

Being that the entire 384 LED fixture pulls 55W, I'd say they're like 1/8W LEDs...

In a fish only tank, if it lights up the box of water, it's fine. For the rest of us reefers, there's no way that is going to sustain corals.

Ya i agree. For me the fish only guy its fine. But will not grow coral for sure.
