LED fixture

I am going from a 60 gallon tall to something like a 60 gallon cube 24x24x24, or maybe even a 48 gallon shallow. I want to get into LEDs when i move tanks. What would i need to get? I want to be able to do all corals and clams etc. currently i just do some softies and shrooms and i have a T5 aquaticlife.

I received the catalog from eshinesystems with the new design on the 4g systems and they are sweet. i'm waiting on a price on the model 48x3w.

They are trying to release the new 4g lights towards the end of the year. They look nice, and offer the option to have your lights arranged in circles as opposed to rows, ie on a 24 light fixture you would have 2 groups of 12 lights. Also option of bridgelux or cree.

Lol boxer you beat me to it by seconds! Yea I agree they look sweet I am in the same boat!

Yea well I was being generous, did not want to say they are out now then get an email from eshine saying they changed their plan lol.

Just recieved the 50x3w wow that thing is bright! I jerry rigged it up last night to check it out and it def provides full coverage on a 40 breeder. Does any one have any mounting suggestions I don't have the ability to hang it from my ceiling and i don't have a hood. Will eggcrate hole the weight? Also according to robin you can not uses the solar simmulator on it so keep that in mind if you order either the 50x3w or 100x3w.

Does anyone use these for straight SPS tank? Thinking about getting 2 60w CREE's for my 55g, They will be over LPS and SPS. Tank shots, thoughts?

Hi,

Has anybody been using the 60 watt Cree light for awhile yet?

I was thinking about ordering one and was looking for some feedback.

Also, how about their other line of lights, ie: the Aqua panel 100 x 3 watts?

Thanks

Let me rephrase my question, it goes along with what other people are asking I feel. I have a 4x54w Tek light setup, Im looking to replace it with 2 of these LED setups. Good or bad idea? Someone with these lights, who are using them, please chime in.

Thanks!

I am also considering buying one of the 100x3w lights. I was told they are 250 plus 90 for shipping and could handle my 60 gallon cube 24x24x24. I was told i would need two AI's to handle my system at 399 a pop that is like 400+ dollars more. Any insight?

I have the 50X3w on a 40 breeder and it's plenty of light. I have it mounted in the center and I get light end to end on 36 inches and the 50 and the 100 are the same length just different width. The color is about 14k with blue and white both on. I really don't think you will need the 100x3w on a 24x24x24. You can also get 90 degree lenses instead of the 60.

I guess two of the model 4g are ready, i'm waiting for the 96x3w for my system i could go with the 48x3w but then i would need 4 of them for my
250gal DD.

Hey All,
I have been lurking for quite awhile and I am about to pull the trigger on these lights. Robin said I should get one 50x3w for my 40 gal breeder macro tank and two 50x3w's for my 55 gal. It seems like it might be too much and I was wondering everyones thoughts. Also, does any one have any pics of these lights on their tanks? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Anyone have pictures of the Aqua washer in action? i'm interested in two 48" fixtures for a 48 x 24 x 24. Would like to know if I need supplemental lights or anything. Or if two of the Cree 60W would be a better option, mounted on brackets. Either way need to get something soon. I don;t have much room as had this built into a wall and they only gave me a 5 inch canopy to work with.
Anyone seen this website;
http://www.reeflight.com
Now i know his pics of growth are BS but the unit looks good. He just shoots himself in the foot by in one part of the website saying he has Cree LEDs and in another they are Briglux and Epistar.
Any thoughts as he is local and I can go see it up and running, if it looks good I might think of buying. Price is pretty good too for a 48" unit.

Just sent the paypal in for 2 CREE 60W LED setups. I've been talking to Robin who is most helpful.

Since there are so many questions on these I will take pictures along the way and keep eveyone updated.

Did you ever get these on your tank? If so I would love to hear your thoughts or opinions.... Pics if you have them would be great.

I ordered two myself Monday and would like to get some ideas before they get here.

Thanks!

For the record, here is my invoice in case the prices change.
