LED Floodlights?

Anyone tried using them for a tank? Costco was selling them, claims 30,000 hrs of use and they only use 5w of energy. I thought of matching these to a dual actinic T-5. Question of coverage was an idea.

They were like $14 per, and I figured even if you needed 4 of them for my 58g it still would be a good deal in both initial costs and in upkeep costs.

I bought one of those led's from costco. it is teerrible. does not put much light out.

20 watt of compact flourescent will grow kenya trees, since LED is more effecient i imagine something might grow under them, but since LEDs also sometimes output specific wavelengths it might not output the ones you need.
