Ok so I have about a grand I want to spend on lights. I'm looking at the newer maxspect razer 320w. Or the reef breeders or ocean revive. Not sure what would be good for a 5 ft tank. I'm still very new to all this so please help lol

Well.. what do you intend to keep in the tank..
What special features do you want? wifi control/storms/dimming/sunrise/sunset/just on/off/timers?

reefbreeders/OceanRevive are great budget lights but don't have the fancy features..
Maxspect is great too with the features as do some of the other higher dollar ones..

I havnt really decided on what corals but nothing hard to keep cause this is my first go at it. Im just looking to get the best lights for around 1000 maybe a little more

2 of the OceanRevive T247 will great for your tank, one of the reefbreeders Photon 48'' will be fine if your tank no center brace.

So you have a dollar number but no required features/function list?

Lol. I wouldnt mind the fancy features but just because it has those features doesnt mean its the best for the money. What lights would you put

I run 2 of the 165w timer lights with better spectrum,white/blue/moon light channel, add 2 red 2 green 2 uv on the white channel, remote control and built in LCD screen with 3 channel timer, cost me $133 each shipped,I am happy with the light,Here is a thread where I post some photos of my tank.

If you just want on/off and dimmers, the OceanRevive, ReefBreeders and ReefRadiance base fixtures will do the job just fine and save you some money.

If you want sunrise/sunset control, the IT2082 from OR, the Photon32 from ReefBreeders and the Lumentek Pro from ReefRadiance are all good fixtures. They are all made byEverGrow in China. I've had 3 EverGrow/OR fixtures over my 2 DT's since Dec 2012 and I've had zero issues and saved a LOT of money from my old MH & t5 fixtures! But I'me retired and I enjoy seeing my take lights change as the day progresses.

Bought a cheap Chinese 3watt per LED fixtures that extended to 60" and a Current Marine Orbit 60" for our frag tank.

Ugly... but works...

Probably would have run 36" across the tank looking back now...
