LED light bulbs

I'm looking at getting 2 LED light bulbs and I would like some suggestions on which ones to get. Both will go in my sump, one for my frag rack and one for my single sided ATS. It will be a 75 gallon tank with a 40b sump. The ATS will as large as the light I can find will sustain, I'm thinking 10-12 by 12-14.

I found these 2 on Amazon, the price is decent and I can get free shipping because they are from the same supplier but I am not 100% sure they are the right choices.

Frag rack light and ATS light

Let me know what you think of the lights I found, I'm a little worried about salt creep but not sure if that is a huge issue on these lights. I could keep the frag rack light cleaner so I am not as worried there but the ATS light needs to be close over moving water so it would get more spray. Would that light work? What are some alternatives?

They are 1 watt LED's pushing a max of 18W. Thats not much light for corals even in a frag rack. I would pass on that one. The ATS light should work just fine.

Do you have any suggestions on lights that I could use for a frag rack? Its not that big of a rack and I can put the light somewhat close to the water.

Take care with thoose led bulbs because even thogh they are leds ,the wire that feeds them is 110 or 220v not 12V.In case it gets into the water it can cause a tragedy. To protect your life from electric shock you can use a RCD/GFCI socket. The 36 watts bulb should be enough for the screen size you have in mind and it will be good enough to filter the waist from 2-3 frozen cubes a day.I use 10W leds that are pink color made especially to grow plants and they work on 12V.https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hig..._1&btsid=a4c3742f-4c0f-4160-9cc9-08f1433b7344

2-3 cubes a day? That's more than I would need. How would a cube of food compare to nls pellets? Is one cube about equal to one pinch? I usually only feed one pinch of pellets or 1 cube a day so maybe I should look at down sizing that light and the screen. The one I have on my current setup is about 6x10 with algae growing only on about 6x6-8 of it. The current light is also only a cfl bulb, I think 75W equivalent, so upgrading that to something 24w or more is going to be about double the light and better spectrum. Also if there are any good options that are water resistant/proof please let me know.

I was mainly concerned about the frag rack light though. Algae will grow even when underpowered, but if you don't have enough light on the corals you could completely defeat the purpose of the frag rack. If I can't get a decent light at a reasonable price then I would just have to switch to a fuge with a mangrove and interesting macro alage instead of a frag rack. The hydroponic lights are cheaper and easier to find.

just get a mars aqua for the frag rack.

$100 for a 10x12 frag rack? I'll pass. If that's what it takes for a little area then I'll skip on the frag rack and go with a fuge with another red spectrum LED bulb to light that up. 36W should be plenty for macro algae. Plus 2 of those bulbs will put me just over $50 for the free shipping. Throw in the fact that it is a breeding ground for pods and that I can grow algae to feed back to my fish and I could see that working.

I guess I just didn't realize how much light it would really take for a frag rack, thanks for letting me know so I don't waste my time and money on trying it. Maybe I'll look into adding one into my display tank. I was trying to avoid that but if its the only way it would work then that's what you gotta do or pass on it entirely.

You could make something cheaper from rapid LED or find a chinese black box used, but yea I don't see you doing it for much less than 75.

That light and scrren size you want to use is enough for 2-3 cubes a day but without using a protein skimmer. With the skimmer on ,the scrubber becomes a 4-6 cubes a day scrubber. For the frag rack i would also use chinese 10W leds that work on 12V just like the ones for the ATS.For the corals i would choose only royal blue leds .You can meke verry cheap and good lamps with thoose leds but you need to find somme aluminum heat sinks to glue the leds on and for the 12v power source i would buy an used computer source and take the 12v wires. For the 10W leds you also need to buy an MR16 driver for each led but thoose are verry cheap too.Leds and drivers from aliexpress are verry cheap ,somme with free shipping ,but you have to wait like a month to arrive at your postal city center from china.Im not a led fan thogh and iwould use instead a T5 lamp for the frag rack but for the algae scrubber leds are good.
