I'm currently running 6 T5's on my 40 gallon breeder completed filled with SPS. With the summer comming around im considering of either buying a chiller or possibly switching to LED's. The tank is 36 inches long and about 18 inches deep. Would a EcoTech Marine Radion XR30w (Gen 2) LED Light Fixture be sufficient for SPS or do you think other supplemental lighting would bee need to reach the outter sides of the tank? I had a huge fall out last summer with my tank hitting 86 degrees F last year and want to go the best route. Thanks!

why dont you decrease the photo peroid and put some fans in the canopy that pump air in and remove air from the canopy?
every summer i do this and the temp only raises 1-2 degrees higher than in the winter

Yea I've already placed a pretty decent sized fan blowing air across the surface of my tank and it definitely helps decrease the temp significantly. I'm also thinking long term as well for cost efficiency and so forth for the future and not having to replace bulbs every year. Thanks for the idea!
I have a reefbreeders photon 24 over a 40B and it's too much light at full blast. I have it set to peak at 70% w and 60% b for 1 hour before ramping back down. Colors are much better than the Eshines I used previously. A dull reddish brown acro turned a deep purple and my fuzzy yellow turned neon chartreuse. However my Cali tort RTNed as well as my purple montis. Though the spongoides took off. I live in south Florida and with the outside weather being mid to high 80s my tank stays at the same temp as the house which is 78
