So the new trend with LED lighting is becoming very popular andi would like to know which are best(for coral growth) Are the Stunner Strips worth is or the PAR 38 or the Orphenaks these will msot likely go over a 14g biocube too.

Thanks for any help!

I would recommend you do a lot of research before you go into the LED's. There are a LOT of them out there, and what may be good for someone's setup may not be optimal for what you want.

You have to ask yourself, what you plan on keeping under the LEDs, etc etc etc.

I have a par38 over my frag tank, which is about a 10G cube. In my experience:
-All of my zoas do very well
-Majority of my palys end up bleaching and going back under the T5's in my display
-2/3 of my SPS do very well, but others experience bleaching
-The only LPS that I have tried are chalices and acans, which seem to fare well

I think one will work. I have only tried 1 optic. I've got a 40 optic over the 10g. That's very high par and a narrower beam of light. A 60 or an 80 might be better for the 14G biocube.

Haffs09 in Rochester has 2 60 optics from nanotuners that he's selling for $75. I'm buying 1 at the swap. Not sure if the other is still available.

I would say that one par 38 with 60° optics, mounted about 6-10"above the water so it doesn't rust, would be fine for a z and p tank.

How much area does a single Par38 with 60 deg optics cover? I have dedicated space in my 180G build for a 30 Breeder 36x18x12 frag tank and would like to use Par38's. I'm thinking two... sound right?

@ Dave: Frag tank? I would start with 2 and see what kind of coverage you get with those.
