LED Lighting?...

Well im deffinetly getting 60 degree optics one over the cube and im gonna see how that all goes for now

Solid plan Aaron.

Be sure that when you select a socket/lamp/fixture for the p38 that you chose one that has a removable shade...the p38 can't be housed in a manner that doesn't allow for heat dissipation through its fins. Also they weigh about a pound so many of the cheap desk lamps etc. aren't stout enough to handle their weight.

One more thing...you can figure out exactly the height that works best for you and diy a permanent mount for it or you can figure out a way to make it flexible meaning easily adjustable.

You can do a search on RC , i.e. par 38 fixtures, and get some decent ideas as well.

Good luck!

The ai fixture seems nice and you can dial it down to keep all your corals happy, look into it it may be a little more pricey but it has alot of options.

Yes, I have the 120w Evolution & 4 par38's. I would pick the 120w Evolution over the par 38's. I do have good growth with both but the par 38's are rusting since they are 5 inches above the water and are not coated with any protection. If I had the money I would try an AI unit.

No doubt the AI units are sweeeet!

His tank is only a 14g BioCube. Don't you think the 120w Evo might be a little overkill for a zoanthid tank? Idk, b/c I've never seen one in person.

Also I had a nanotuners par 38 over a 25g Solana for almost a year without any signs of rust, but I kept it mounted about 10-12" above water.

AI nano unit would not be an overkill. Either would a 120w 20k Evolution if you position it at the right height. Mine are rusting badly but I have great par at it's current height with good zoanthid and paly growth.

Cool! Looks like he has a few decent options then!
