LED options for my 120.

The only sunshines systems I saw online were the 90 wt is that the only aquarium led light they sell. As long as their not related to eshines, had one of their $300 leds lights go out after 4 months and they want honor the warranty.

Radions are proven to grow corals. It was not the radions fault more than likely at the LFS. I have read wonderful reviews of them. I like the pace sun a lot also, but the price is WAY out of my range.....that's a rich man's light.

i agree radions are a good lamp and grow corals well, but they are just as expenses as the PacSun when comparing power and optics. Radion, Acan,
PacSun are all about the same $, all high priced! i think there are better value leds with equal power, but less functionality and color that will grow corals well.

What other options as far as LED's go have you seen out there that you like?

I have the Sunshine Systems AquaUFO over my reef at the store, and I've had awesome growth, health and color underneath them. Plus, they're only $330 apiece, they cover a 2'x2' section of tank, and have absolutely no problem punching 30" down to the bottom of the tank.

I'm not going to sit here and say they're better than the Radions; they have less features after all. But they're plenty powerful, and less than half the price.

What type of controller do you run? Do the Fixtures come with them for the $330. My 150 build is 5'x2'x2 and I think I could get away with two of these fixtures above it. How high up do you have yours mounted? these are def in the price point I wanted to shell out for lights. Going to look them up now.

I studied led reef lighting for hours before i bought PacSun. i looked at orphek, kessel, vertex , and about a half dozen more, even thought about DIY with cree leds. All looked good to me! i went with what i thought was the best not just most expensive. if you want the highest price look at Acan. i light my fug with a kit from "LEDGROWLIGHTS.COM" it only cost $100.00 and my chaeto is growing well!!!

I think the best way to go to get what you want is the DIY. You can make the exact same system as the radion or the pac sun (I would assume) for a fraction of the cost. the only difference will be how they look aesthetically (as far as wires showing and what not).

Also fishmanstan, it seems as though you have made your mind up about the radians, so why even post the question. It sounds like the pac suns are the same watt/power per dollar that the radians are. As well Radions are definitely in the rich man reef keeper realm as well.

Anyway, take a look at the DIY route. Rapid LED offers great deals with many different colors. I built my LEDS with 78 3w cree LED's for under $800.

Good Luck to you.
