LED Par Bulbs

Seems there are a few new ones out now. I don't know the exact order of who made them first, but I first seen the ones from nanotuners by evil.

Now there is a bulb from ecoxotic, boostled, and I just found another company who is makin' the bulbs. Rapid LED. They have a 5 or 7 light bulb with 60 or 80 degree optics.

The Rapid LED's are also cheaper than the nanotuners and ecoxotic. But not cheaper then the boostled.

I think I'm still gonna order a couple of the BoostLED bulbs for $59.99. If anyone is interested, whether you buy 1 or 6, it's $12 shipping.

People are using these bulbs only on their tanks. I have seen several tanks with just these style bulbs on nano-reef. Mainly the Evil Par38. I don't understand the "supplement only"? Maybe only as supplement for larger tanks? But I even seen a tank with a 8 light track system over it. No halides, T5's, VHO's, just the PAR bulbs.

They don't have enough PAR to be used as the main light source, It will depend on what your keeping and how high up the coral is in the tank. They loose PAR real fast the deeper you go down in the tank. I Understand It, It's quite simple as a matter of fact.
I do not want to argue with you about these just made a comment, End of story.
Thanks

Haha, calm down Bill. Nobody is arguing. I think I made it clear in other posts that I would be using these on a small tank, 10-15 gal, no deeper than 12". Also made it clear there would only be soft corals in the tank. Mushrooms, GSP's, maybe some zoas.

The whole purpose of this post though was to just let others know there are cheaper options out there if they are interested in the PAR LED bulbs.
