Looking for a nice led set up for my 48x24hx18d 90 gallon. Want to get lps near sand bed or low in tank and maybe eventually some sps up higher. Need some recommendations. The lfs sold me cheap LEDs that aren't suited for lps.

@ 48 you need two and if your running lps mainly id get the 120 degree tir lenses. not as high on par but a good spread.
thats why i said 2nd hand units.
there are so many units and brands its a total over kill. alot of them are perfectly fine. two mars units turned down to 50 or 60% would also work well just dont have the fancy ramping and setting /multi channels etc
You could get away with 2 x xr15's if you want to stay on a budget. (Essentially two halfs of s xr30. But you can space them out more For Better spread!
ReefBreeder Photon 32 or 48 in the V-2 version. The 32" is really big enough for your tank and inside your budget. The 48" is really for a 5' tank. And they have a sponsor forum here at RC. I've been running 2 or the older version 32" fixtures for 3 1/2 years now and I've had zero issues with them.
For an $800 budget I would go with 2 Kessil A360WE Tuna Blues. They are tunable, controllable, offer a really clean install, and should cover that footprint quite well.
