Ok so i have decided that if I am going to do this, I want to automate everything as much as possible, and I am going to go ahead and buy 2 dosers if it will work. So I am wondering does it dilute the bacteria or vodka to be opened and exposed to air so that the dosers will both be hooked up at all times to the bottles, or what would be the best way to do this, if it should be done?

Ive drilled two holes on the bottles' caps. One that would snuggly fit the hose, and one with the smallest drill bit that I had so it won't produce a vacuum inside the bottle.
The vodka i just leave it as is. The bacteria, I shake (swirl) once a week.
Both are dosed in the sump near the return pump.

Ok Reggie, i just ordered 2 dosers from BRS, I decided to go with the 1.1 mL, because I e-mailed Andrew and he said if it were him he would go with the 1.1 because it's going to be more accurate in low doses, and it is also made a little better. I am really figthing the urge to just upgrade my lighting and change my whole display to reef. Right now, I only have 400 watts above the tank, and I think if I wanted to I could keep some LPS, leathers, mushrooms, which might be the direction I go, but I know I should also lower my bioload, and I just don't know if I am willing to let go with enough of my fish fo it to be count. My other plan is to possibly get 3 or 4 of the PAR 38's and just get a couple SPS and place directly under them. I would like to go the SPS route, because I feel that I could possibly get away with keeping my angles this way, on the downside I also know they are more difficult unles I stay in the montipora cap's and dig's area, which would be fine with me also. Anyhow, enough ranting, I will let you know about this when I decide further, and I would appreciate your input on the subject. As for the APEX, can you tell me what I should do to dose 60 mL? I know that the straight time would be roughly 54 min. and 30 sec. I would like to dose 4 times a day at even intervals which would have the pump running roughly 13 min. and 30 sec. per interval.

Ok, to dose every 6 hours, the code on the apex is:
This means it will dose for 13 minutes and 30 seconds every 6 hours, starting at 12 am.
If you add the three parameters of OSC, it should equal the total number of minutes of the total interval. So in this case it's 0 + 13 min 30 sec + 346 min 30 sec, which equals 360 minutes (6 hours).
If you want to start at say 2 am, the first parameter gets a value and the third parameter gets adjusted accordingly based on the total interval. The code will then be:
This means, it will wait for 120 minutes (2 hours) from 12 am (which is 2 am) before it starts dosing. It will dose for 13 mins 30 sec, and then wait for 226 mins and 30 sec. If you add 120 min + 13 min 30 sec + 226 min and 30 sec, it is still 360 minutes (6 hours).
I hope I didn't confuse you.
Btw, this will only work on the Apex and not on the older AquaController III. Apex supports seconds.
