LED Supplement Suggestion

Trying to get a strip to supplement, not looking to build my own. From my research the three options are true lumen, reef brite, reef brite xho's. I've currently got 10 bulbs t5, and just looking for the flourescense-I don't care about par. My tank is 36x36x27.

What would you'll recommend? My current thinking is one 36" reefbrite or two 24-36 true lumen. The cheapest option is 36" reefbrite with the xho and the two true lumens costing about the same.

There are way more options.
Eco-exotic Stunner Strips. 12, 24, 48 inch.
RapidLED.
Icecap makes one.
just a few.

Just curious what would it cost to DIY from Rapid? I'm tentative to do DIY, because I previously had a retro T5 kit and disliked it greatly. Anytime I'd work on tank, a connection would come loose. Do you have the same issues with DIY Led? If the Reef Brite Tech 36 inch strip would work, I'd do that for $220...If I need more than that, I may look into DIY.

I've just never owned LED, so I don't know how many bulbs I need. I was previously told that I'd need the 3w cree bulbs to get noticeable effect on my tank, just don't know how many.

I have 2 24 inch reefbrite blues on my 92 gallon corner that I use as supplements to my 250Wmetal halide. I really like them and I am going to keep this combination with my soon to happen 150 cube upgrade. The reefbrites run so much cooler than my previous VHO/T5 supplementation and produce added shimmer with still good par values. With their canopy mount brackets, you can rotate them to adjust the light angle.

I believe the ecoxotic stunner strips would not provide much light penetration and thus inadequate color supplementation (I was considering these, too, to add to my new 150 upgrade)

I had to count my leds to see which model I have. Now I'm seeing dots. Looks like its the regular model. 18 leds in each. I think this was the only model they had when I ordered them.

I like my ecoxotic panorama pro's. they are very bright and things really glow under them! I'm not sure how many you would need for your setup though. I have 2 as supplemental lighting on my 75g reef and it works really well IMO.

I like the ecoxotic panorama pro's, too. Only thing that I do not like now (and I think this is supposed to change) is that they are only offered in 12" fixtures (but linkable).

Hey Todd For your setup I'd do 2 Ecoxotic 36" Stunners with their new inline LED dimmer. That way you can use them as supplements and moonlights.
