Led to halide.....need to acclimate?

I just pulled off my LEDs from my holding tank (was the top of my biocube that is being sold) and I hung a 250 radium over it. All ican say is that it looks like an infinite amount more light than I had. Was told I don't need to acclimate, but I think I should. This is over a 30 gallon, so lots of spill over, but it's only a temp tank. The heat is horrendous, so I ordered a fan. My plan was to run the halide for 3-4 hours and work my way up to 5 total over the course of a month. Reflector is 10 above water. Still have some led supplements that I run for 8 hrs but those were there before the switch.

Other than looking like too much light, colors look great, LOL!

Ay suggestions appreciated!

Which LED's were you running? FWIW I had 2 tanks plumbed together, 1 with 400w radium, and one with ecotech radion g2 running 40%. The radion was cooking the SPS while the 400w halide tank looked great. The direct focus of LED's is more powerful than you can actually see.

Was running Cree 3 watts. 11 royal blue, 7 whites, red and uv for supplement. Blues were at 100%, whites at around 40-50% if I had to guess. I've only known LEDs in my reefing career, so the look of the halide was shockingly bright to me. Not saying that's a bad thing, just gotta get used to it I guess. My timers are set for 3 hours now. If in a few days no sight of stress, I'll kick it up 30 min. Thanks!
