LED Tubes

they look cool but it seems to me they are a little to much 105 per bulb...i wouldnt be the first to risk it.

I think they are actually more for the HO bulbs...

GGT8342WH 342 LEDS-THIS BULB IS FOR HIGHER OUTPUT APPLICATIONS.
2100 LUMENS @ 18 WATTS EA
1-10.............................$94.50 (-37.50)

I am not sure what the -37.50 means...but imagine, 4 of these over the tank (if they were sufficient), even at $100 a piece. They most likely would last a very long time...and the amount you would save in electricity would be well worth it.

For me I would be talking 72W vs 440W (diff of 368W or 3.3KW for 9 hours a day) @ roughly .122 per KW hour. That is a savings of roughly $12.50 per month or about $150 a year! They would pay for themselves...and you probably would not have to replace them for years!

Just a thought ;) probably ridiculous....

the key word is PROBIBLY not replace them for years...what if one LED goes out and it is wired in series...there goes the whole string and i am betting they arnt easily accessable. plus you would deff need a fan or way to cool them with that many LED's in an unvented glass tube will create monster amounts of heat. As i said before i wouldnt want to be the first to try them out on my Block...
