I found a LED light fixture and wondered if the light it provided was good for soft corals.
Not familar with LED's, so I am lost.
Fixture Size: 17.00" x 5.00" x 1.00" (Add 0.65" in height with bracket installed)

LEDs Count: 18
1300 Lumens
Super energy efficient 1 watt HQ LEDs
15x 10,000K LED
3x Actinic 460nm LED
Use 18 watts

Thanks for any help..

That doesnt seem to be a very good fixture, it uses 1 watt leds, a single color which means it is going to be yellowish and have very limited spectrum. What is your price range, we can probably suggest something that you will be happier with if tell us what you want to spend.

you could go to Rapid led and look at their DIY for the 29 BioCube and get an idea of what you need. You definitely want 3 watt LED's to punch down in the water.

My BC29 is lit with 32 3w LEDS....16w and 16b...I keep the whites about 50-60% and I get great growth and color from my zoos, and lps...sps is doing well as well.
