LEDs on a budget

you will get the best bang for your buck with DIY leds...usually. But with out alot more details on tank, what corals you want to keep, what is the budget? we will not be able to provide any specific answers

i dont really have a budget im waiting for xmas to get some more so i can get lighting.
ok, so im hoping to keep sps and clams, love the colours :)

If your looking into DIY, i would suggest taking a look at eshinesystems. I was going to do DIY, but then i saw them. They're a chinese company, so you have to pay for shipping, but even after that the units end up being cheaper then if you buy the DIY with heat sinks and such. You can get cree LED's or bridgelux, and they're pretty flexible about that stuff. Just remember you will have to deal with typical issues with dealing with people from china. Delay in response (usually within a day, or if you catch them while they're working it's much faster through their messaging system). Some potential quality issues, but overall for me it was worth it for the price difference. you have to e-mail them for quotes on their systems.
