Leemar quality

Got a Leemar low iron (187g) tank about a year ago, it just doesn't look as clear as older Leemar's I've seen.. Anyone know if they changed sources for low iron glass?

(Silicone job was still very good)

Its 1/2" glass. Its definitely low iron, just looks more green than the Starphire I've seen before which looks blue (if any color). Its a very nice tank, I just wonder how many low iron vendors there are and how they stack up side by side?

Isn't Starphire glass a brand of low iron glass? I believe Current USA has their own brand of low iron called Superbrite. I could be wrong...

Starphire is made by PPG industries. Anything else would be called low iron. But your right Current USA calls their low iron glass Superbrite. Rally its just a Chinese low iron.

Ya, my recollection is Starphire is PPG's brand, and low-iron is generic term for, well.. low iron glass. I'm curious if Leemar changed vendors. I think Starphire is a very good product and wonder if Leemar ever used it or still does.

I have a Redsea Max 650 which is build with 15mm low iron glass and it is clear but still has that little bit of green hue if you look at it from the ends, it is defiantly not as clear as other tanks that I have seen built with true starfire class.
