For those of you who do say toss it, what do you think is going to happen to your inhabitants if they do in fact eat fish food that has been left on the counter overnight? (thawed) Don't just say yuck, define it please...

Those in the know will use it... Do you really think that LFS is going to throw out a whole batch of frozen food that turned to mush in transit, I think not. C'mon man...

What about a fish that dies in your system and is behind a rock unseen?

They tend to disappear pretty quickly with no major issues in a well established system.

There are two ways I look at this type of situation.

If the food thaws on the way home it is most likely ok and has not started to decompose and I just refreeze it.

If I left it out all night I would think it would start to decompose and that mushy stuff usually smells bad, it is most likely just going to pollute the tank and the fish won't be able to eat it all so I will just trash it.

Do you remove dead snails or just leave them to the inhabitants? Talk about stink... PU!
