has anyone tried using lemon juice to get rid of aptasia by injecting it into them with a syringe? I have read a couple articles on this and it sounds good I was wondering if any of you had tried this and what was the result?

some say it works, some say it doesnt.
the one thing i know that will much em up, are peppermint shrimp, get two, they are usually prettym cheap, about $9.99 ea.
i got a shipment of Fiji LR once that had 29 pop-up in a matter of days.
got 2 peppermint shrimp, in less than week you couldnt find aps. anywhere.
another plus about them is they breed like rabbits (A-sexual) thats why i said 2 of them. they provide food for the fish and clean your tank too...what a deal!!!

I've tried the lemon juice, it didn't work well for me. I've had the most luck with kalk paste, but still hit or miss. Usually takes more than one application.

I have tried joe's and the kalk paste, I thought that maybe lemon juice would work better...oh well. I just have to keep applying.

The lemon juice works good if you are quick enough to get the needle into it before it sucks in. Another thing I have tried is to take the needle off of the syringe, squirt hot water over the aptasia with the syringe and pull back on the plunger. Alot of the time you can suck it up into the syringe. Just dont waste your money on the bergia worms.

how well would a peppermint get along with a blood red fire shrimp? Also I have a large hermit that I would like to giveaway (larger not reef safe) if anyone would like let me know, I would like him to go to a good home!
