Lensmate macro for a Canon S95?

Hi all,

I am pretty new to photography. I am very much point and click, but keen to learn more. I think I have a great camera for that.

I was getting frustrated at not being able to take good macro pictures of my coral.

Then I found an adapter online that essentially clips a 37mm lens on.

Here is a link to it.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Thanks in advance,
John

That looks to me to be a lens filter holding kit, not any sort of interchangeable lens (which isn't going to happen on a typical point and shoot).

Those aren't true "lenses" they're diopters. It's like putting reading glasses on your camera.

It's better than nothing but that's about the extent of it.

Thanks Doug, that is very interesting.

Short of buying a new camera, are they the best option available to me?

Diopter attached. It is taking a little getting used to but it seems like a good lens. I'll try to get some pictures up soon. Thanks again for the advice.
