I'm not sure if this is illness or injury, but my Leopard Wrasse has a spot on his side with scales missing, and has been favoring his front fins, and only fluttering his tail for mobility. He's still very active, and is eating, although somewhat less voraciously than normal. See pics. Barring illness, the only thing I could think is that he may have bumped into an urchin spine when he was burrowing. I had an urchin, but one of my starfish got a hold of it. The spines are still in the tank though. Regarding the algae... I'm in the process of decommissioning this tank. Everything is being moved to a nice, new clean tank. I don't want to move the wrasse if he's got some sort of infection though.
