I have a six-line in my 90. A couple of weeks ago I added a Red Christmas Wrasse. The six-line began harassing it and chasing into a corner. The RCW was eating, but certainly not enjoying life.

Yesterday I picked up a beautiful Twin Spot Wrasse and a small Formosa Wrasse at Reef's Edge. This morning they all came up out of the sand. I hung a mirror in the corner where the six-line usually chases the RCW. The combination of things seems to have worked. The multiple newcomers and the mirror must be confounded the six-line and he's leaving everyone alone. The newcomers are all hanging out together happily. Life is peaceful again.

Yea my leopard still hiding, and i got mine last saturday from reef's edge....Still wondering what he could be doing

Bob lets talk about this again in 1 year from now.
Okay. You're on.:)
But I'm wondering if the order of adding and "who's the toughest fish in the tank" have something to do with it? I have a dwarf angel (Potters) and a Rabbitfish that take no crap and maybe they help to keep aggression by the sixline to a minimum. This was a similar case with the past sixlines as well.

I don't know what your schedule is, but my RCW only comes out for a couple of hours when the actinics first come on. I suppose if I wasn't around at that time I would think he never came out. Your fish may just be on a whacky schedule and not out when you're around?

Yea, I definitely thinks it's "quien es mas macho". There a six-line in my 55, but he doesn't bother anybody due to a very aggressive Humbug damsel in there who takes turns terrorizing everybody. I'd get rid of him, but I'd have to tear the tank apart, very clever wary fish.

hmm.. my actinics come on around 10:30am, im usually not home at this time, was though today, didnt see him.

Sometimes lurking on this forum is a catch-22. You hear about a big shipment and you rush over there (wherever) and try to beat your buddies to the nicest fish. The problem is the newest fish in the store is generally not the best candidate, since they're still whacked out from shipping and acclimating to the store's tank. Then they're scooped up again and put into yet another unfamiliar environment. This impacts your chances of success significantly. So if you wait the nicest specimens may be gone, but the ones that are left have proven they can make it and will eat.
