So I went to feed my blue spotted puffer this morning and noticed his belly seemed a little swollen. I did some reading and found others that had experienced similar issues. It appears that he is bloated from overeating.
I read other posts that said feed small amounts to the fish but I also read to feed as much as they will eat in 3 minutes. Well this guy is always hungry. He eats Rods food in the morning and really likes the marine flake in the evening.
I guess I am either going to have to tone down the amount or figure something else out.
I have a couple hermit crabs in the tank and I was trying to keep the puffer fed so he doesn't nip at the crabs. I have watched him nip a couple times but not that often.
Is the consensus that I did indeed feed him too much? Pic attached, as best I could get
