i finally talked Barb into getting a new skimmer:D its been up and running for a week or so and ive already noticed an improvement in our NO3 #'s. No3 had been around 5 but no matter what i tried i couldn't get them below 2. i just tested(Salifert) and there was barely any color change:beer:

this is what was pulled out after the first 14 hours

Any measurable differences in any of your tests yet?

i haven't done a po4 or no3 test in a while, but my patches of HA and cyano are steadily decreasing

yes i tested the other day and they were .2ppm, so now im actually feeding the tank to keep things from getting too low

At least you saw a good amount of reduction. I'm thinking of upgrading to a mag 5 or even a 7 for my Remora Pro for the same thing HA. My algae blenny has been taking a good bit of it but I think even with his size it might be too much.
I added an urchin to see if he would make a dent in it. So far whenever it gets on anything it's taken down to pure clean material lol. It's like white out for your tank.
