I finally found a nice little frag of Undata last month at the Raleigh Reef Smart and it is doing great and is ready for placement. This piece was a big bucket list coral for me and I am SOOOOO happy with it. So my question is where is your Undata happiest and lets see some pics, iI need my coral porn. My specs are 50 Breeder Display 36x18x18, lighting is a current outer orbit 2x250 20k 4x39T5 hung 12 inches above the tank. Highest possible placement would be19 inches below the light down to the bottom 27inches below the light. I was thinking bottom third of the tank but wanted confirmation or correction. Thanks everyone, John

M. undata is a favorite of mine as well.

I suggest 150-300 par with at least medium flow. Lightwise, if you match the par where it came from there would likely be less initial shock. If you don't know how much light it was under, start low and it move up some every week if all is well.

love my undata too !

here it is about 18 inches under 250w radium + t5

Mine was one of my favorite SPS under my AI SOLs. I added a 250w halide a few months ago to spice things up a bit and since then the undata turned a pale blue. It's about 12" directly below the halide so it's getting blasted. Hopefully it colors up eventually!

Here is mine. Currently about 5". Please excuse the excess white in the photo(phone camera). Mine is about 8 inches under 6x39w T5s.
