The price wasn't that bad, much to my surprise ($370). However, it is much smaller than the picture makes it out to be.
Regardless it is now the most uniquely colored coral in my tank and I'm very glad I grabbed it.
I'll try to take some good pics of it soon.

I guess maybe he will post a pic and we'll see....I saw that too and drooled over it. But frankly I think LA's photos are actually kind of crappy. That is to say their corals always look better in person under normal tank lights than in their pics. I think maybe they do it on purpose so people are amazed when they open the box Certainly better and more honest, IMO, than those all actinic shots/ super tweaked photochopped pics you see on some sites web pages . Its one thing to adjust for white balance and use tank lights etc but another to turn a brown coral into a glowing yellow one.

Also having been to their facility half a dozen times now (Divers Den here in Wisconsin), I have basically never seen a brown coral there. Kevin has a good eye and picks amazing stuff. Though there are plenty of pics up on Divers Den that look less than stellar.

I guess the inset was the actual size of that piece. Well, seeing what Aussie Scoly's cost here in DFW TX that seems like a decent price..

not the best pic, it's much brighter red and purple in person, and when it opens the entire center is nuclear green crazy pattern, i'll try getting better pics during feeding tomorrow.

don't worry about the little skeleton showing it's healed up perfectly since then
