Lets help Muppett

I've got some beach sand but that may be a little too coarse. It's probably like ~0.5mm granules.

It's not my first rodeo, I know to be careful. :-)

He'll probably live in a bucket while I get everything in. There's a huge amount of well established rock in the tank for the volume, which will help with clean up.

Once you get it all said and done lets get some feeding pics if you can I'm thinking of getting a peacock for my shallow reef :)

Ps in that small of a tank I think even adding just a cup of sad would cause a cycle but that's imho :) wasnt trying to step on toes just throwing it out there

My e-goby is pretty thorough in his constant overturn of the stand in my DT, which as a consequence makes it nearly impossible for much detritus to build up in it. I probably have some of the cleanest sand around in my main reef tank, teeming with bacteria and pods but very little "gunk". I think it'll be all right, but I'll definitely monitor parameters in case I need to do a big WC or something. I'm not sure if Amquel is compatible with inverts but I'll read up on that, too, just in case.

If your using sand out of your dt than there should be no problem at all and the ego by at the lutz is crazy and its small compared to yours I heard they are really cool to watch and the one at the lutz likes to make dunes all over or pile sand where the power head hits and makes a storm lol ever have problems with it moving frags or covering corals with sand?

He mostly finds old, empty frag plugs that fell into the sandbed and I forgot about. :-)

He's around 12" long now. I have 8" dunes in my tank.
