Folks
I keep finding this weird stuff in my tank.
I'm still having algae issues but everything under the sun is healthy and growing. Even stuff I don't know.

So I found these things growing in a back overflow box on a redundent tube.
There is no direct light there, very high flow.

I did, but spelled it different

Thanks for the info. Looks like they don't need or like light. Wonder what the 60 feet of return and supply lines look like inside to my filter system. :hmm2:

Why I always recommend oversize (never 1") and redundant overflows whenever asked;)

I have 2 1" active over flows that are in service
Then there are 2 1" backups that are about 1/2" above the service over flows.

All the 1" lines drop to the floor and then merge into 1 2" main line that runs 30 feet to the back of the house in the basement where the filters are.

Then there is a 2" return line that splits into 4 1" nozzles. 2" line is way way over sized for my flow rates. Most of the drain line is air space (its vented).
