Lets see pics of your favorite reef safe fish!

hey Marcel, that pink margin is SICKK!!! i see tons of them at BigAls, but they dont look any where as nice as yours??

did he look the same as all of the otehr ones?? the other ones look plain, with just the nice red tail and outlining, yours has this really beautiful purple face

My male Barlett anthia is my fav. He's not big, but neither is the tank, so he's my centerpiece.

How many females do you have with it? I've just got a male at the moment. One female died in quarantine.

2 females. You can see them all in my avatar. They were the latest, and last, additions to the tank almost a year ago. I know, I know....the tank is overstocked (Thank goodness for that 5ft skimmer :)). All three get along great. The male is not very aggressive. When I bought them, they had already been at the LFS for over a month...bad lighting, no color. They were reduced to $45 for the trio. I couldn't resist.

Sorry about your female...she must have had problems from the get go, since I've noticed as many times as I've seen them at the LFS, they are usually rock solid, eating everything. I'd definitely get a female or two for your male. Before this tank, I had Bartlett's once before. Only a male at first. Boy did he color up after adding a female. Just my experience.

Tigerarmy40 -

I spent $130 at my LFS in CT on my Bellus.

I know that you can get themn for less, and for more depending on the source. I felt it was worth the premium due to the large amount of red markings in comparison to the typical Bellus, and I had the opportunity to observe the fish over a 3 week period at the store.

Eating is not an issue. She took food instantly - 5 minutes after introduction to my reef and she started feeding. I feed a mixture of frozen cubes - nothing fancy - mysis, krill, brine shrimp, angel and butterfly medly.

She eats well and often, not a shy feeder at all, as a planktivore she loves to chase after food in the strong currents.

hey Marcel, the pink margin wrasses over at the store look more like Deltec Rules's picture of his pink margin, how did yours color up so nice?

he's been the same color since i got him. He is definately the dominant fish in the tank. I'll be honest i have not seen one with his color. My photos don't do him any justice either.

My heniochus butterfly is currently the most graceful eyecatcher in my 75

but ...

My pair of Orchid Dottybacks still really keeps me glued to the tank!

not breading yet but she produces egg row like clock work so it's only a matter of time :)

All these are reef-safe and my favorites, but I keep'm in a FOWLR.

And here's my favorite reef-safe fish that I actually keep in a reef.

not exactly what you're asking for, but my favorites are my pair of chalk bass (<em>Serranus tortugarum</em>). they are intelligent, pretty and have great personalities.

several people put up pictures of their <em>Genicanthus</eM> angels. i don't own any of those, but the LFS has some in a disply tank and they are extremely cool.

Those are threadfin pompano, not look downs

Is that their primary common name? I'm searching and can't find any "threadfin" fish that looks anything like those. Do you know the Latin name?

EDIT: Nevermind, found it as the "threadfin jack," although most of the sites on it seem to be fishing sites!
