I stop putting my hands in my Fish tank for the same reason.
But i think CT are almost reef safe if you take some of the critters out of the tank they like to munch on.
I had put all types of corals in the tank with my big CT and never eat any of them but he will eat any crabs or snails but don't eat the cleaner shrimp.
