Lets see them- FMTS

Looks like majano/aiptasia of some sort. I dont think its really harmful except for the fact that it can take over your live rock really quickly and is a bit hard to get rid of if u decide u want to get rid of it to make space for corals.

Why we are on the subject of corals what do you guys use to secure them down? I got 4 ricordea sitting in seashells on the bottom of my sand but id love to secure them to my LR somehow. I superglue them to my seashell out of the tank but they are so hard to keep ahold of and superglue them down underwater.

I am nearly certain that they are majano anemones. Not nearly as "sting-y" as aiptasia, nor as prolific. However, you've got lots of 'em, just keep a look out, they can hurt corals. "Joe's Juice" works wonders and IME is mantis-safe.

this is my O.S. home, her name is Circe.
i am going to be putting more corals in and possibly more live rock.

she seems to have made friends with my maroon clown, but i'm not too sure its friendship that she's interested in.....

Cool little tank giga.
I've had the Clown in there for little over a week now Circe doesn't care that its there at all, although she seems to be that way to everything right now unless it enters her tube then she will give it a good wailing

Thats the gianormous hermit crab I have. He's twice the size of carnage, who is on the right by the way.

All very nice setups! Dismalorb very cool ,I also use macroalgaes in my mantis tanks. What else do you have for filtration? Do you supplement anything? Will post pics soon.

here is my 7g minibow

it actually held 2 small mantis shrimp for about 6 months.

there was a 1" green mantis, no idea on the species, but he bailed and i found him on the carpet a month ago.

then there is a 1.5" smithii in there, a lucky find as a hitch hiker at a LFS.

lives in this cave, usually blocks the entrance with a shell.

i consider this tank my "weed" tank. it has some mushrooms, lots of majano's and rock anemones in there. and i let the caulerpa algae just do what it wants and grow.

this little mantis is kinda boring actually, he NEVER comes out of his little burrow. i never get to see his colors, and he never interacts with anything in the tank.

sometimes he'll come out just enough to grab a piece of food that passes by, but has never attacked a snail/hermit/crab/urchin. so kinda boring mantis.

would much rather have something bigger and more aggressive.

whoops, meant to post in here

Just finished doing some rockscaping on my retrofitted eclipse 6. My P. ciliata used to get along with damsels, but has since decided she likes sushi after all.
