Hey everyone! Now, I know that threads like this have been started before for this species of coral, and I've read through most of them. But, I wanted to start a new one for two reason: I want to see some updated shots of ones posted before and also some new ones. Sometimes it seems like people are hesitant to post in an old thread; that's why I figured a new one would be better.

Anyway, as the thread title says, let's see those A. Millepora's! Any color or size is great.



(As I'm still finishing my system, I have no corals to post. )

Just picked up a Palmers Blue and Rouge Milli frag. Where would you recommend tank placement in a 45 gallon Tech tank with 250 watt 14k Phoenix and 2x65 watt actinic bulbs. Flow is 2xMP10ES's on full power tidal swell mode. I heard low-moderate light with moderate flow?

Mille's like med/high light and med/high flow.

Nice random flow is especially important I think for millepora.

Common or not, that things got some crazy polyp extension! This is what I love so much about Millepora's. Thanks for posting.

i just bought 5 different kinds of millis... i will post pics here in a few. so those that have millis do you think they are a fast grower. i am getting ready to leave for 7 months and i was wandering how far away from each other i should place them.. thanks and the millis look awesome

IME, they're a pretty fast grower. Sometimes, it'll take them quite some time to spread a base, but once that's done they seem to explode. The main thing is to give them good lighting with good flow; mine loved good random flow. Where in VA are you? I used to live in Va. Beach...how I miss it.

i live in hampton.. use to live in va beach when i was younger... not a terrible place to live....

It always seems to me the acros with the larger polyps grow faster. For example the extreme ends of the spectrum I can say milleporas grow fairly fast and deepwater acros grow fairly slow....in general.
