I am looking to switch from 2-part to kalk. need some nice photos to help convince me
Why not do both?
I use kalk & two part. Kalk can only handle so much, even in full saturation. Turn your two part dosers down and use kalk too.
My tank reacts postively to kalk use.
Kalk is my best friend, I dose around 1-2 tablespoons a day. I pour kalk directly into my tank. Water becomes really milky, but nothing my SPS's can't handle. The polyp extention still protrudes even after the milky water.
Some people may tell me not to do what I am doing, but it's working for me so I'll stick to what works for me.
Thats an unnecessary risk.... You know you could mix it up a day before hand and decant off the supernatant for use right?
Ya, I used to do that, but it wasn't enough. Turns out, the more kalk I use, the better the growth and coloration there were. Working great for a very long time. I did have a Kalk reactor before and it screwed up really bad. So I do everything manually.
i made a diy kalk drip for 18$ a .5 gallon jug . air tubing . ai control valve and your good to go. i have it doing a drip of kalk every second
I do 2 part, kalk and run a CaRx. QUOTE]
I was using all three methods, now Im just doing BRS 3 part and the Carx. When I set up my new tank I'll be getting rid of the carx and just doing and doing three part. I might get fancy and get a LM3 or something.

It definitely depends on your tank size. Two of the guys best tanks around dose the two part concentrate, the powder you use to make two part, straight into their overflows with no issues. But both have 300+ gal tanks.
Kalk worked great for me but could never keep up so I started dosing two part as well.
You're right about that, but regardless, if you dose small amounts you should fair equally compared to the larger volume tanks.
1/3 of a teaspoon for 120g
2/3 of a teaspoon 240
1 teaspoon for 360
Depends how patient you are too!
I do dose 2 part as well. I like to keep a variety![]()
