I didn't even realize there were two eyes looking up. I only saw the one when focusing.

This emerald crab doesn't seem concerned with the sea of BTA tentacles waving nearby.

Well, it's been a long while since I shared an image on this forum. I believe I posted this way back when. No matter, I think it's a fitting "peek-a-boo" shot. These are the eyes of the snail Terebellum terebellum, a species closely allied with Strombids. I kept this guy in my tank for quite a while. It was a happy little detritus feeder that kept buried most of the time with only its eyes popping out of the sand.

As a 56K dial-up user enduring "the endless download", when I view the images posted here, I must say it has been worth the wait. This thread is especially fun, as well as the ever popular "show me your teeth" thread, though I still haven't gotten my 'teeth' shot yet...all in time I guess.

Cheers,
Bob

Thanks Greg. I'll be keeping the "peek-a-boo" subject in the back of my head while shooting...as I said, this is a fun one to play with. Cheers, Bob

Took this a long time ago, this fish was one of my favorite, he was in a nano I had at my old job, and would dash under a rock whenever startled.

clownfish start off as males, but the largest, dominant male of a group or pair will become female. i dont know if a solitary clown would revert to being a male after being the female of a group, or if it would change sex because it is obviously dominant if it is the only clown there. i dont know know though, but i hope my information helps
