Lets see those Skimmerless SPS Tanks.

My skimmer does'nt really do anything, does that count? I do 30-35% WC's weekly and only have 3 fish so there isn't much organic material to be skimmed...

I just bought a bunch of brown wild caughts 3 weeks ago and some are taking a little while to color up (hence the big brown ugly corals) but everything else is doing good. I've found that if you keep your organic wastes minimal through large WC's and little feeding, your SPS colors turn out zeovit'like:D

It does add oxygen into the system. I have a 160 gal with only three fish. Two false percs and a yellow tang. My skimmer cone skimmer still produces 3 inches of skimmate a week with 20 WC.

Nice tank Dan. Ya, you don't count. You do have a skimmer. I think it extract so little wastes because it doesn't seem you any. Hehe.

Check out Mudshark, Border skimmerless reef on marineaquariumsa.com. It can be done successfully without a skimmer. These guys have perfected using just a algae turf scrubber and yes they have plenty of sps.
