I run 10K XM 250 watters. I also have w 160 watt Super Actinic VHO. I'd love to go a bit bluer but I'm addicted to the growth.

Wow, some of these tanks use alot of live rock, always been a fan of more low rock with open spaces like Jay24's, to allow for maximum room for sps to grow out and up into water column.

Thorium...beautiful!

That nanostream doesn't even look big in the nano, i like those.
Your tank is growing on me....usually not a nano fan. you obviously have done an exceptional job on it though and water chemistry stability for the sps in that size tank must be tricky:thumbsup:

Hey Jay I run 3x400w 20k xm's with actinic supps-my pics are not the best to show how deep blue my setup is, I love the deep blue look, I figure i have enuff time for growth LOL.

Eagles-IME experience live rock is the foundation for a longlasting stable system- there's many ways to skin a cat, i'm old fashioned regarding reefs(like DD's-rock and sand) Anyways
jay niice growth.

Thanks. I agree with both. Depends on what you want.

I wanted an open top setup for fish. However, my corals went nuts. You can do a setup of more rock and focus on multiple smaller colonies. That is nice because of the variety in the tank. I'm going to be trimming back my slimer a ton to open more swim room. With a nice size naso, I think he is limited since the slimer is now about 18" in diameter from side to side and front to back and a foot tall. The same with my caps. I currently can't clean the front of my glass where the orange cap is.

Just remembered...I was running Hamilton 14k when this picture was taken.

Thanks Matt
As usual, very nice tanks every one. I use phoenix 14k 250watt DE running on PFO HQI ballasts. Heres a pic of lights:
