Let's see your beautiful galaxea coral!

I have one, about the size of a baseball. My pair of false percs have been hosting it for months. They are never more than three inches away from it. They have worn two craters in the side of it where they sleep...actually it probably grew around the spots where they sleep. I love the way it moves constantly in the low/medium current. I have mine isolated on one side of my 90g at least 6-8" from the nearest coral.

Very nice Lacktaters! That things is huge. Interesting shape, as well.

I got a better picture of mine, once it came around a bit. This shows a bit more promise! It has a bunch of baby heads around the stalks, and it started reaching out to touch someone!

Haha we told ya it sweeps out there. Imagine it when it gets big. Looks like it adapted great. It will be a nice piece and should grow rapidly considering the amount of baby heads. After they settle in they tend to do a whole lot better faster. They say your good once you get past about the second week then it's on. Feed it will help it spout.

Here is a picture of mine. Sorry about the quality, phone pic :sad2: It does extend its tentacles quite far away from its base.

This is mine. As mentioned by others they have really long and potent sweeper tentacles. So far he has stung and killed three corals of mine.

It's probably a good six inches across. The sweepers can get pretty long, but with the way I have the waterflow they just go out into empty space. It's over 2 feet to the nearest coral in that direction. It likes a good amount of light, I have it about 6 inches from 4 bulb TEK.

I agree, TheReeferer. Fascinating to keep, if you are willing to not pack corals in that area.

My galaxea has thinned out its sweepers, so they are a bit longer now. Similar to Avengerx77's coral.

I don't know what's scarier, the Galaxea with its sweeper tentacles or the strange inhabitant of the cave in your live rock to the right! :eek1:
