Let's see your Long Exposure shots

Wasn't a great night as I spent more time teaching than shooting but here's one.

Is it possible to shoot in HDR with long exposures? Sorry if its a dumb question. It seems like it would be a time consuming affair to shoot a "burst" of long exposures.

Its all the same. These two are 3 shot HDRs +/- 1 eV. Photomatix gave me a few artifacts in the water on the first one tho. It's only slightly noticeable but I think its just due to my exposure.

This thread literally made my jaw drop. You all have taken some amazing pictures.

I hope one day I can get the equipment and knowledge to be able to take these. I wish I had done so in high school, I lived in a perfect setting for it - the slope of a volcano.

my first attempts at a long exp. shot...taken on a Nikon D200, Tokina 11-16mm ultra-wide

Hong Kong Skyline, November, 2010 (from The Peak)....30sec exp, HDR

Zach, that first picture of the Hong Kong skyline is simply amazing. Seems so futuristic, I knew Hong Kong sort of looked like that but never like that! (If that makes sense.)

And the pic of the stars with the palms shows the vastness of space while showing you still attached to Earth, really neat.

I'll throw a couple up, can't remember the exposures because I didn't write em down and film doesn't have EXIF data lol.

Luisgo, thanks for posting those pictures. I loved visiting El Yunque when I lived in PR as a kid, such an amazing place.

You wouldn't happen to have any pics from the area with the waterfall where people jump off of it and land into an area of calm water (there is a bridge running over the calmer area), would you?

xtm, your pic reminds me of Avatar, a lot. The clouds also look like they have lightning rolling around in them.

You guys keep astounding me with all these awesome pictures.
