I have three on the way. How much are they moving in your tanks? Rock/rubble dwellers? Stinging their neighbors? Other tips so far?

Mine haven't moved at all. They like to be on the rocks rather than the sand. I have mine right at the base of the reef. I lost one of my four. It never looked to happy and second day started expelling its guts. Pulled it out once it started free floating around the tank. The other 3 look awesome. I think that one was compromised before I got it.

Mine keep moving closer to eachother... even though they can be mean (pack a sting) they seem to enjoy the cuddle

woogiekids- nice! what size tank are those in?

are pizza anemones similar to the mini carpets or no? i thought S. Tapetum was for pizza anemone (LA where i read that) not mini carpets. either way cool!

Thanks! Right now they are in a 28g jbj, but I'll be moving them into a bigger tank. The Haddoni is....large. :) I think pizzas are the same as maxi-minis.

They are not the same they are two different species. These are straight off of LA.

Mine are moving all the time ...they can be put for weeks then on the move again ...very unpredictable

Fragging is very simple. I have done it multiple times. Just use a razor blade and make a straight cut through the middle straight through the mouth. Then soak them in iodine and tank water to prevent infection. Kraylen has some videos on youtube that are very helpful =)

i have the regular mini carpets, not the maxis and they reproduce like mad. i started with five about 5 years ago and must have at least 50 now..they do like to move alot and quite often i wake up to find a few on the glass. they do seem to sting sps a little, but so far they havent killed any of my soft or lps corals.

I just love these little anemones, I keep a LTA in my 180 and would love to add a few of these. I do keep a meridithi and a majestic angel and was wondering if anyone had sucessfully kept these anamones with angelfish? They have never bothered the LTA. Are there are compatibility issues with an LTA and the little carpets? TIA
