I just dropped mine down to the bottom (under 250watt, ushio 10k lumenarc) to try to get some of the color back. I had it about halfway up before and it just turned pale and reddish brown polyps, not very impressive. We'll see how it does 24" down.

i got mine when i was planning an upgrade so i stuck it on my "waiting frag rack" and it encrusted on the actual frag rack, something i had never witnessed. well here are some growth shots of mine in its new roomier home.

Aug-8-09; 8 days after transfer

Sept-27-09; 51 days of growth (dont mind the blue actinics only right now)

i noticed that while other corals seem to grow more slowly on multiple branches my RP grows faster in one direction?!? go figure.

I'd also say this is a very fast grower for me. It has encrusted that piece of epoxy completely and then some.
