YAY!!!! i picked up a pair at my favorite LFS this afternoon.
CCritters sells Asterias forbesii for $4.00 a piece. I'm going to have a spare 180 gallon up and running connected to my main display tank. Could I buy say... 12 of these and cut the legs or do these not regenerate quick enough?
At $4.00 a piece, they're rather cheap, but the shipping could be expensive. So I figured buy bulk, rotate cutting legs, and hopefully they'll live awhile.

how big are the stars u bought for $4? but no they probably wouldnt regenerate fast enough unless in the right tank and that hard to do.
r u sure u have a male and a female? the other question would be are they the same type (color)? lastly r they similar size?
Is there a good place online to get them inexpensive, or is it recommended to go to the LFS
Do these eat subclass Ophioderma?

If they're quick enough, yes. However my star has lived with my harleys for a few months and is doing just fine. They kinda just leave each other alone.
