So I'm interested in adding an ozone system to my set up. I've read good things about it. Anyone local using one?
What's some of the actual real life, can see with your own eyes, pros? Any cons of using an ozone system?
What would be a perfect set up for a 200g tank with 50-60g sump? If you could design the perfect ozone set up, what would be included to make a whole system? What's the cost?
Any suggestions or tips about what to buy, best way to set it up or run it, etc...

Are you close to the Roseville area? You can pass by my place to check my ozone setup. I am about 15 minutes from yourreef. Robert s b recently had his installed. It would be nice to hear his opinion.

Avast marine works great for me. I use the coralife luft pump with no air dryer. Ozotech 200mg/hr. Apex controls the generator. Carbon in a next reef monster reactor.

Im interested too.... No issues with the Ozotech? I hear some have issues with moisture getting into the unit and failing but that's just from some of the reviews from BRS. Those reviews were old though.. They may have solved that issue by now..

The Avast setup is nice. However, I am worried about reliability of the generators out there..

Would like to hear input from other Ozoner's too!

I actually use an aqualifter pump and warm tapwater to clean the ozone generator every year. I hook it in the air intake of the generator. No issues with water damaging the generator. I called ozotech many years back and that is what they recommended. You can easily tell if it is working. Regardless of the amount of carbon you can still smell it faintly when on. Reliability is not an issue. Durable with aluminum casing.

Good to hear man... Makes it easier to pull the trigger when the time comes. Thanks for the tip!

I may have to come check it out. I've never used ozone before and just want to make sure I buy all the right stuff and don't have to rebuy again later.

So I to am trying to research this as well. I understand that you can have crazy clear water using ozone. However I had read so bad stories about the dangers of it in a house.

Not sure what to believe at this point. I also see that some of the ones I respect on the forum no longer use it either.....?
