Hi all! Im looking for some feedback.

Background.. I got a baby maroon clown 2 days ago. Hes wild caught, and still pretty small.

day 1
fed: cyclopeze, flakes (orange and green) and mysis chopped
... white stringy poo... ( I took this to the disease forum and have meds on the way)

Day 2
Fed: 1 green flake in the morning, mysis soked in Selcon (selcon may be key for my next question..)

I have him in a bare bottom quarentine tank, and I use a turkey baster to suck out leftover fod, and poop.

Well today I sucked out what appeared to be poop... It had the right shape and texture (compairing it to my other clowns poo)
BUT.... it was brite red. I sucked out along the edges and got a few more pieces of red matter...

I dident feed him anything red today, cyclopeze was almost 24 hours before this, but he did get selcon (although I found this to turn poop silvery or black)

So.... anyone ever get red poop? I donno if its better than the white from yesterday, or worse! The consistancy was good. no stringiness.... but red? I was gonna try to microscope it, but i had it on a papertowel and threw it away when I was cleaning up by accident...

RED

RED

is from the cyclopeze its bright red and that doesnt mean if you fish eats it on one day its going to come out the next one

i dont quite understand what your saying. you think it takes a baby fish (1/2 inch maybe a lil more) a full 24 hurs to poop? and it would be red from cycopeze?
